You have extensive experience in Android development, ideally with over 5 years of hands-on experience building high-quality applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Your deep understanding of Android frameworks and libraries allows you to create efficient and maintainable code. You are familiar with modern architectural patterns such as MVVM and MVI, and you have a strong grasp of Clean Architecture principles that guide your design decisions. What you'll do

As a Staff Android Engineer at Coupang, you will lead the technical design and implementation of key features for Coupang Play, focusing on user discovery, content exploration, and subscription management. You will take charge of modernizing the architecture to support scalable and maintainable solutions, ensuring that the app can handle large traffic volumes effectively. Your role will involve driving the transition from XML-based UI to Jetpack Compose, establishing a reusable Design System Component that maximizes development efficiency. You will continuously monitor and optimize app performance, addressing startup time, scrolling frame rates, and memory usage to ensure a smooth user experience. Collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams, you will translate complex business requirements into technical specifications that guide development. You will also establish engineering standards through code reviews, API design reviews, and technical specifications, ensuring that best practices are followed across the team.
