Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in a medical support role, ideally within a workplace setting, where you've provided first aid and health guidance to employees. Your understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety principles is strong, and you are committed to promoting health and wellness among your colleagues. You enjoy working collaboratively with a team and have excellent communication skills to interact with associates effectively.

You are proactive in assessing and addressing health-related issues, ensuring that all associates feel supported and informed about their wellbeing. Your ability to manage case reviews and participate in safety committee meetings demonstrates your commitment to workplace safety and health initiatives. You are eager to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

Experience in occupational health or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with injury prevention strategies. You may have certifications in first aid or CPR, which will enhance your ability to respond to workplace incidents effectively. A background in health education or wellness advocacy can also be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As an Onsite Medical Representative at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of associates at your site. You will provide first aid support and guidance on both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses, making referrals to outside medical providers as necessary. Your responsibilities will include attending weekly safety committee meetings, where you will collaborate with the WHS Site Manager and WHS Specialist to discuss safety initiatives and improvements.

You will greet new hires and provide them with essential information about health and safety protocols, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed. Your role will involve participating in case management review meetings, where you will assess ongoing health issues and develop strategies to support affected associates. You will also be responsible for advocating health and wellness principles, helping to create a culture of safety and wellbeing within the workplace.

Your day-to-day activities will require you to be attentive and responsive to the needs of associates, providing them with the necessary support and resources to manage their health effectively. You will work closely with the larger WHS team to assist with all first aid needs and support safety operations as required, contributing to Amazon's mission of becoming the safest place to work.

What we offer

Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, financial, and other forms of compensation. You will have access to resources that support your professional development and wellbeing. The company is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive work environment, where you can thrive and make a meaningful impact on the health and safety of your colleagues. Join us in our mission to set the benchmark for safety excellence across all industries.
