SeatGeek is seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer Intern to join their team in New York. You'll work with technologies like Python, Go, TypeScript, and React to help modernize the ticketing industry. This internship is designed for college students and offers mentorship in software development.
You are a college student currently enrolled in a Computer Science program or a related field, eager to learn and grow in the software development space. You may have some experience, but it's not required — your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are what matter most. You are excited about working with technologies such as Python, Go, TypeScript, and React, and you are ready to dive into the world of software engineering. You thrive in collaborative environments and are looking forward to being part of a team that values mentorship and professional growth.
While experience is preferred, it is not a barrier to entry. If you have worked on personal projects or have taken relevant coursework, that will be beneficial. A passion for technology and a desire to contribute to innovative solutions in the ticketing industry will set you apart.
As a Software Engineer Intern at SeatGeek, you will be involved in designing cloud-native software architecture that simplifies and modernizes the ticketing experience. You will work on solving customer problems and scaling our software to support a booming business. Your role will include building a many-sided marketplace that empowers decision-making at a rapidly growing data-driven company. You will also have the opportunity to run experiments and evaluate new technologies that will shape the future of our business for years to come. Additionally, you will contribute to building performant, beautiful, and inclusive user interfaces that delight our users and enhance our brand.
This is a 12-week summer internship program with a hybrid work style, where you will be expected to be on-site 50% of the week at our corporate office in New York City. You will receive mentorship from experienced engineers who will guide you through the software development craft. This internship is not just about gaining experience; it's about being part of a team that believes in the power of live events and the technology that supports them. You will have the chance to learn from a world-class engineering team and contribute to meaningful projects that impact the ticketing industry. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your potential and willingness to learn are what we value most.
