SpaceX is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician to perform mechanical and electrical assembly of avionics systems. You'll work with PCB assemblies and support testing processes. This role requires 1+ years of technician experience in electronics.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1 year of experience using mechanical hand tools. Your background includes professional technician experience in electronics, showcasing your ability to work with various components and systems. You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Your attention to detail is outstanding, ensuring high efficiency and accuracy in your work. You are adaptable, able to handle changing work assignments in a fast-paced production environment. Experience building electromechanical components is a plus, as is familiarity with conformal coating processes.
As an Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis. You will build and test small electrical sub-assemblies and optical equipment, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications. Your role will involve supporting conformal coat, masking, epoxy application, and coating processes. You will run functional testing on units and assist with harness routing onto avionics assemblies. Additionally, you will support vibration and thermal development tests and perform Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) testing of assemblies built in the area. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the reliability and performance of SpaceX's avionics systems.
