Squad is seeking a Release & Quality Engineer to manage the release process and ensure quality before production launches. You'll work with CI/CD pipelines and perform both manual and automated testing. This role requires experience in release management and quality engineering.
You have experience in release management and quality engineering, combining both manual and automated testing skills to ensure the highest quality before production launches. Your solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows allows you to manage the full release lifecycle effectively. You possess a strong ownership mindset and exceptional attention to detail, making you comfortable being the last line of defense before production. As a clear communicator, you thrive in fast-moving startup environments and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You have experience working with early-stage or fast-growing startups, which gives you a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in such environments. A background in consumer-facing web and mobile products enhances your product and user-centric mindset, allowing you to prioritize user experience in your quality assurance processes.
In this role, you will own and coordinate releases across web, Android, and iOS platforms, managing the entire release process from build validation to production rollout. You will validate builds, versions, artifacts, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure everything is ready for launch. Your responsibilities will include performing manual and automated testing with a strong focus on critical user journeys, ensuring cross-platform quality and consistency before each release. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to identify risks early and unblock launches, acting as the final quality checkpoint before anything reaches production.
