SpaceX is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for their Optical Fiber team to develop manufacturing and test processes for optical fiber assemblies. You'll collaborate with design and test teams to enhance product reliability in Redmond.
You have a background in manufacturing engineering with a focus on optical fiber assemblies — your experience includes developing and managing new product introduction processes. You are skilled in designing and implementing test procedures that enhance product reliability, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you work closely with design teams and suppliers. Your technical expertise in manufacturing processes allows you to drive improvements effectively.
Experience with high-volume manufacturing and familiarity with optical fiber technology is a plus. You are proactive in identifying areas for process improvement and have a track record of implementing successful corrective actions.
As a Manufacturing Engineer for Optical Fiber at SpaceX, you will manage the new product introduction process and develop production processes specifically for optical fiber assemblies. You will design and implement development and production test procedures aimed at improving the reliability of these assemblies. Collaborating with manufacturers and suppliers, you will work to implement process improvements that enhance optical fiber reliability. Your role will also involve driving corrective actions and ensuring that production meets the high standards expected at SpaceX.
