You have a proven track record of leadership in engineering, particularly in factory automation or manufacturing environments. With at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, you understand the complexities of high-throughput production systems and are adept at managing teams to achieve operational excellence. Your strategic mindset allows you to define and execute technical visions that align with business goals, ensuring that your team is equipped to meet aggressive production targets.

You excel in talent acquisition and team development, having successfully recruited and mentored engineering teams in the past. You foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, encouraging your team to make data-driven decisions that enhance performance. Your communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on objectives and outcomes.

Desirable

Experience with automation technologies and systems integration is a plus, as is familiarity with metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on long-term goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the technical strategy for automation development within the facility. You will lead the Factory Automation Engineering team, overseeing all aspects of planning, design, and implementation of automated production lines. Your leadership will be critical in establishing a facility culture that prioritizes data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with other departments to ensure that the automation systems are aligned with production goals and operational reliability. This includes defining key performance indicators and monitoring the effectiveness of automation solutions.
