Coupang is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer to design and build secure architectures for their e-commerce, fintech, and logistics platforms. You'll lead threat modeling and risk analysis while ensuring the security of AI systems. This role requires extensive experience in security architecture and vulnerability analysis.
You have over 5 years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on application security and architecture. Your expertise includes designing secure systems that align with business requirements, and you are adept at collaborating with development teams to enhance security practices. You possess a deep understanding of threat modeling and risk analysis, allowing you to proactively identify and mitigate security risks. Your analytical skills enable you to conduct in-depth architecture and code reviews, uncovering vulnerabilities and providing actionable remediation strategies. You are familiar with the latest security challenges, particularly in AI systems, and can design effective defense architectures against emerging threats. You have a customer-centric mindset, prioritizing user safety while fostering a collaborative environment with development teams.
Experience with OWASP guidelines and frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with AI security risks such as prompt injection and data poisoning. A flexible attitude towards learning new technologies and adapting to changes in the security landscape is essential.
In this role, you will participate in the planning and design stages of major new services, ensuring that security is integrated into the architecture from the outset. You will lead threat modeling sessions with development teams, identifying potential security risks and designing mitigations based on business impact. Your responsibilities will include analyzing security vulnerabilities in microservices architectures and providing practical remediation guides. You will also focus on the security of AI systems, internalizing security throughout their lifecycle and addressing unique risks associated with AI technologies.
