Who you are

You have a solid background in software engineering, with experience in optimizing performance for applications on the Windows platform. You understand the intricacies of end-to-end ownership and are passionate about delivering high-quality user experiences across various devices. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and you enjoy mentoring others to elevate their skills and contributions.

You are familiar with architectural discussions and can identify performance hotspots, architecting solutions that drive improvements into production. Your ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions is a key strength, and you thrive in environments that encourage ownership and autonomy.

Desirable

Experience with multiple platforms, including Mac, iOS, and Android, is a plus. Familiarity with best-in-class UX practices and next-gen collaboration tools will help you excel in this role. You are driven by a growth mindset and are eager to innovate and empower others.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of performance improvements for Office on the Windows platform. This includes executing design and coding efforts, as well as extensive instrumentation to monitor and enhance performance. You will collaborate with various teams across Office to lead architectural discussions aimed at improving overall performance.

Your responsibilities will also include mentoring other engineers, sharing your expertise, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. You will be expected to identify performance hotspots and architect solutions that can be effectively implemented in production environments.

You will engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration, working closely with UX designers and product managers to ensure that the performance enhancements align with user needs and business goals.
