Turing is seeking a Robotics Engineer to architect datasets for Physical AI. You'll leverage your experience in training foundation models for robotics. This role is remote with travel required.
You have hands-on experience in robotics and a deep understanding of training foundation models — you know the intricacies of how models perform in real-world scenarios and can design datasets that address common failures. Your background allows you to bridge the gap between data collection and model performance, ensuring that the datasets you create are high-value and off-the-shelf for customers. You are passionate about advancing AI systems and have a keen interest in the intersection of robotics and data science. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to work with diverse teams to drive innovation.
Experience with synthetic data generation and robot teleoperation would be a plus — you understand the importance of these elements in enhancing the capabilities of AI systems. Familiarity with human motion capture and data enrichment techniques will also be beneficial in this role. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies as the field of robotics evolves.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing datasets that support the development of Physical AI systems — your work will directly impact the performance of AI models in various applications. You will collaborate closely with data collection teams to ensure that the datasets you create are comprehensive and tailored to meet customer needs. Your insights into model performance will guide the development of datasets that not only enhance accuracy but also improve the overall user experience. You will engage with customers to understand their challenges and provide solutions that leverage your expertise in robotics.
Turing provides a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI research and development — you will be part of a team that is recognized as a leader in the industry. The role offers flexibility with remote work options, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life. You will have the chance to travel both within the US and internationally, expanding your horizons and gaining exposure to global AI initiatives.
