JavaScript

Overview

Vercel is hiring a Sales Engineer to combine technical knowledge with value-driven sales skills. You'll work with JavaScript and modern web development practices to support enterprise customers. This role requires a strong background in technical sales and web development.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in JavaScript and a broad understanding of modern web development approaches and best practices — you can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your experience in sales engineering has equipped you with the skills to identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions that drive value. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product and sales teams to advocate for customer needs and enhance product offerings. You are comfortable answering technical questions and advising on best practices, ensuring that enterprise prospects understand the benefits and viability of projects.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure and tools, as well as familiarity with Vercel's platform and products, would be advantageous. A background in customer success or solutions engineering can further enhance your ability to meet customer needs effectively.

What you'll do

As a Sales Engineer at Vercel, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical and sales teams. You will engage with enterprise customers, answering their technical questions and advising them on best practices for using Vercel's platform. Your role will involve identifying customer needs, exploring potential solutions, and justifying the benefits of projects to ensure successful implementations. You will work closely with the Solutions Engineering and Customer Success teams to surface and address the technical needs of customers, contributing to future roadmap planning. Your insights will help shape the ongoing enhancement of Vercel's offerings, ensuring that they align with customer expectations and industry standards.

What we offer

Vercel provides a dynamic work environment where you can thrive and contribute to the mission of enabling developers to build the best products. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid setting, with in-office anchor days in San Francisco or New York City. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Join us in shaping the future of web development and delivering exceptional value to our customers.
