Google is seeking a Senior Regulatory and Litigation Counsel to lead legal strategies in response to government and regulatory inquiries. This role requires extensive experience in regulatory matters and litigation, particularly in the EMEA region.
You have a JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree, and are admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction where you will practice. With at least 7 years of attorney-level experience, you have a strong background in government, in-house, or law firm settings. Your expertise includes cross-border litigation and regulatory defense, particularly within the EMEA region. You are skilled in addressing legal, regulatory, and litigation matters, focusing on minimizing and avoiding regulatory risks. Your experience extends to affirmative litigation, including judicial reviews and class actions, and you have engaged with regulators such as CnaM, Ofcom, and the European Commission.
You have a proven track record of working with public company boards and their counsel, including special and audit committees. Your ability to respond to regulatory Requests for Information is well-honed, and you understand the importance of compliance in a global context. You thrive in environments where you can partner with teams across Global Affairs and Product Areas to ensure constructive engagement with governments and regulators while mitigating risks.
