You have extensive experience as a Software Architect, ideally with a strong background in building scalable and resilient systems. Your deep engineering expertise allows you to make confident architectural decisions that align teams and drive technical direction. You thrive in complex environments and can bring clarity to intricate challenges, ensuring that the best path forward is chosen for the organization.

You are hands-on when necessary, especially during the development of MVPs, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts. Your ability to collaborate with engineering leadership and provide guidance on product capabilities is essential. You understand the importance of balancing technical excellence with product instincts, ensuring that the solutions you design meet both user needs and business objectives.

Your experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS, equips you to navigate the complexities of multi-cloud architectures. You are familiar with modern frameworks and technologies, particularly Python for backend development and Angular for frontend solutions. Your knowledge of automation, AI, and GenAI will be beneficial as Fairmarkit continues to innovate in the procurement space.

Desirable

Experience with procurement systems or sourcing platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with ESG and diversity targets in technology solutions. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing requirements while maintaining a focus on quality and performance.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Architect at Fairmarkit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural vision of our platform. You will collaborate closely with the SVP of Engineering and other stakeholders to define and implement technical strategies that enhance our product offerings. Your hands-on approach will be crucial in developing prototypes and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the feasibility of new ideas.

You will lead architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring that all engineering teams are aligned on best practices and technical standards. Your expertise will guide the development of scalable and resilient systems that can handle the demands of our growing user base. You will also mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will engage with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential in driving alignment and ensuring that everyone is on the same page.
