Job Description

We're seeking an inventive and skilled Sr. Product Manager to join our Products team at Amazon Devices & Services. You will own the definition and development of apps & software services for a device(s). This role is within a team whose charter is to contribute to Amazon's transformational consumer products using advanced technologies.

Amazon Devices (Lab126) began with the Kindle e-reader, and now invents & develops products like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Echo smart speakers, Echo Show smart displays, Echo Frames smart audio glasses, and the Amazon Astro robot. We're at the forefront of ambient computing, a new paradigm where technology is always present, interaction is intuitive, and it disappears when not in use. Key job responsibilities
- Own key aspects of the strategy, definition, and execution of the hardware, software, and services for a device. Own the roadmap & prioritization for your domain, developing a long term strategy of initiatives, epics, and user stories.
- Own the presentation of your strategy & decisions to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Work within an integrated product management & design team and side-by-side with hardware and software engineering teams to turn user stories into detailed product requirements, mockups, and prototypes.
- Become a domain expert through daily use of prototypes, competitive, and complementary products to develop a deep product intuition.
- Collaborate on quantitative & qualitative user research programs to drive early product decisions and go-to-market strategy. Regularly talk with customers. Organize and prioritize product insights across internal & external channels.
- Research and understand the capabilities and limitations of advanced sensing, display, and machine learning technologies and their impact on the user experience.
- Collaborate with teams across the entire Amazon Devices & Services organization to bring cross functional features to life.
- Use design reviews & critique to drive continuous improvement towards a minimal, polished, and delightful user experience.

About the team
We thrive on creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. You will work directly with a talented team across design technology, UX design, UX research, and product management. We are located in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and Seattle.- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with agile software development
- Experience building delightful consumer products
- The ideal candidate is creative, innovative, self-driven, and enjoys technically challenging and ambiguous design & technical problems
- Technical proficiency demonstrated through technical degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience performing or collaborating on competitive analysis, market research, and user research
- A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience shipping new product experiences
- MBA or advanced degree (Ph.D., or M.S.) in a relevant technical field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
