Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to work on Discover UGC and Search. You'll develop next-generation technologies and work with programming languages like C++, Java, and Python. This role requires 2 years of software development experience and expertise in AI/ML and distributed systems.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and have at least 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree. You are proficient in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python and have a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. Your experience includes working with large-scale distributed systems and frameworks related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) development and deployment. You are familiar with search technologies or information retrieval, and you bring fresh ideas from various areas including distributed computing and data storage.
A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred. You have a keen interest in collaborating with executive engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand requirements and contribute to designs. You are enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack and are eager to push technology forward.
As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will work on a specific project that is critical to Google’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. You will analyze experiment results and system performance to identify and drive quality improvements. Your role will involve contributing to code reviews, documentation, and best practices within the team.
