Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Supervisor for NDE Operations at Starbase to oversee inspection processes and ensure quality control in Starship development. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills.

You have a strong background in operations management, particularly in quality control and inspection processes. You are data-driven and understand the importance of performance management in achieving operational excellence. Desirable

Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries would be a plus, as would familiarity with various inspection methods and quality assurance practices. A background in engineering or technical fields can enhance your ability to collaborate with engineering teams effectively.

What you'll do

As the NDE Supervisor at SpaceX, you will be responsible for overseeing the non-destructive testing operations within the Starship production area. Your role will involve scheduling and prioritizing workflow management to ensure that inspection activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. You will act as the primary interface between your team and relevant production partners, ensuring that all inspection requirements are met in a timely manner.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with engineering and level III teams to support inspection requirements. You will manage the career development planning and certification training for inspectors, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills to meet the demands of the job. Your hands-on approach will involve performing inspections and troubleshooting issues as they arise, maintaining a focus on quality throughout the process.

You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of quality within your team, emphasizing the importance of attention to detail and adherence to inspection protocols. Your leadership will guide your team in achieving company-wide goals and maintaining high standards of product reliability.
