Dropbox is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to partner with product, engineering, and design teams to drive impact in the Core Experience and AI areas. You'll leverage analytics techniques to improve user engagement and business growth. This role requires expertise in consumer behavior analysis and proficiency in programming languages like Python and R.
You have a strong background in data science with a focus on product analytics, ideally within a SaaS environment. Your experience includes performing analytical deep-dives to identify problems and opportunities, and you are skilled in designing and executing experiments to inform future experimentation roadmaps. You possess robust knowledge of consumer lifecycle, behavior analysis, and customer segmentation, allowing you to create personalized segmentation strategies that leverage propensity models. You are adept at identifying key trends and building automated reporting and executive-facing dashboards to track acquisition, monetization, and engagement trends. Your leadership and influence skills enable you to advocate for new solutions and build momentum cross-functionally to move ideas grounded in data forward. Proficiency in programming and statistical packages like R or Python is a plus, and you hold a Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Experience in product analytics within a SaaS company is highly desirable, as is a strong understanding of user engagement behavior and the ability to derive actionable insights from data. You are someone who can bring strong narrative framing to influence business decisions proactively.

At Dropbox, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of CAD 187,900 to CAD 254,100.
