Amazon is seeking a Research Scientist specializing in Artificial General Intelligence to drive innovation in natural language processing and machine learning. You'll work with large datasets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance human-technology interaction.
You have a PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field and possess strong technical skills in coding and natural language processing. Your experience includes dataset construction, training and evaluating models, and automatic processing of large datasets. You are detail-oriented and ensure the quality of speech, language, and other data throughout all stages of acquisition and processing. You are comfortable collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, including science, engineering, and business. You can present proposals and results clearly, backed by data and actionable conclusions.
As a Research Scientist at Amazon, you will play a critical role in advancing the state-of-the-art in natural language processing and machine learning. You will ensure the quality of data by sourcing, collecting, and generating ground truth, as well as normalizing and transforming data for cross-lingual alignment. You will clean, analyze, and select data to achieve project goals, building and testing models that enhance the customer experience. You will collaborate closely with product managers, language engineers, and other scientists to drive innovation and improve human-technology interaction. Your work will involve developing efficient data querying infrastructure for both offline and online use cases, contributing to the responsible development and deployment of large language models across Amazon's businesses.
