PagerDuty is seeking a Vice President, Chief Architect to lead the architectural vision and strategy for their digital operations management platform. You'll collaborate across engineering and product teams to drive design patterns and best practices. This role requires a strong background in large scale distributed systems.
You are a proven leader with a strong background in technology and architecture, particularly in large scale distributed systems. With a passion for leveraging architecture as a discipline, you understand how to accelerate business scale for a growing customer base. You thrive in collaborative environments and are excited about fostering a culture of creativity and learning among your teams. Your experience includes engaging with customers and industry stakeholders to inform technology vision and strategy. You are adept at aligning engineering and product organizations on design patterns and best practices, ensuring that your teams produce high-quality products that deliver value to customers.
In this role, you will report directly to the CTO and play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural direction of PagerDuty. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to drive alignment on design patterns and standardization. Your responsibilities will include participating in customer-facing engagements to gather insights that will inform the technology vision. You will lead initiatives that promote collaboration and creativity within your teams, ensuring that they have the support and resources needed to succeed. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding team members, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and development.
