You'll work with circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware development in Somerville, MA. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing production-ready electronics.
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience designing production-ready electronics — you can share a portfolio that demonstrates your skills and experience. You are passionate about bridging the gap between the analog and digital worlds, and you love to design and build boards from the ground up. Your expertise includes developing firmware to control complex electromechanical systems, and you are adept at producing elegant solutions to real-world problems. You are ready to grow into owning system-level architecture and mentoring other engineers, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Experience with 3D printing technology or related fields would be a plus, as well as familiarity with scientific approaches to engineering design problems. You thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy experimenting with new technologies to push the boundaries of what is possible.
In this role, you will design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design and PCB layout. You will be responsible for embedded firmware development, bringing up and validating systems to ensure they meet the required specifications. You will apply a scientific approach to engineering design problems by creating experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and making informed decisions based on your findings. As you grow into the role, you will take ownership of system-level architecture and have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, fostering their development and enhancing team capabilities.
At Formlabs, you will be part of a team that is redefining how the world creates. You will receive equity in the form of RSUs, and your financial investment will grow with us in accordance to your impact.
