MongoDB is seeking a Principal Partner Specialist to drive partner awareness and channel new business. You'll work closely with Global and Regional System Integrators and other partners to generate a robust sales pipeline. This role requires 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in a competitive market.

Who you are

You have over 5 years of field experience in a quota-carrying role, demonstrating your ability to thrive in fast-paced and competitive environments. Your background includes at least 3 years of experience generating pipeline and selling through Global and Regional System Integrators, ISV Partners, and Technology Partners. You possess superb energy and initiative, which drives your passion for building strong partner relationships and achieving aggressive pipeline growth.

Your expertise in sales strategies is complemented by your ability to collaborate effectively with Enterprise and Public Sector Sales teams. You understand the importance of closing business to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings objectives. You are proactive in identifying, qualifying, and developing a sales pipeline, ensuring that you are always ahead of the curve in your approach to partner sales.

You are skilled in building and activating strategic workstreams with key focused partners, which results in significant growth opportunities. Your experience includes participating in comprehensive sales enablement trainings, including sophisticated sales training and leadership development programs, which have equipped you with the tools necessary to excel in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will proactively prospect and identify potential partners, working closely with Global/Regional System Integrators, Cloud Partners, VARs, ISVs, and Technology Partners. You will formulate and execute a pipeline generation strategy that drives new customer acquisition and enhances partner awareness of MongoDB's offerings. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the Enterprise and Public Sector Sales teams to close business deals that align with the company's objectives.

You will own all partner-related activities on behalf of the Area Sales team, ensuring that all aspects of partner engagement are managed effectively. This includes recruiting and building strong relationships with partners, which will lead to incremental pipeline growth. You will also participate in sales enablement trainings, enhancing your skills and knowledge to better serve your partners and customers.

Your role will require you to be a strategic thinker, capable of activating workstreams that drive growth and success. You will be expected to meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the MongoDB sales team. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your expertise and insights to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
