As a Senior SDET @ Acceldata
• You will be the gatekeeper for product and platform quality and come up with a Project/Feature system test strategy, test plans, resource planning, and execution strategy.
• Develop maintainable test automation tools and automated test suites. You will also work closely with Software Engineers and solution engineers from the beginning of the development/test cycle and be an integral part of the engineering team.
• Along with automation, create expertise in data technologies, platform components, and features maintain test coverage, regression pipelines, and release management.
A day in the life of a Senior SDET
• Develop, design, and maintain test automation frameworks and tools using programming
languages such as Java or Python.
• Collaborate with development teams to develop test strategies and plans for new product
features.
• Design, execute, and maintain automated test suites to ensure the quality of our products.
• Perform manual testing when necessary, and identify and report defects.
• Work with build management tools like Git, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools to ensure smooth
build and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and improve
product quality.
• Monitor and analyse test results, and provide feedback to development teams to improve the
efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
You are a great fit, if you have
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in Test Automation with expertise in UI Automation ( Cypress / Selenium /Playwright ) and API Automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python, and other scripting languages.
• Experience in database testing to validate data integrity, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of our data systems. Expertise in MongoDB / Cassandra / Elasticsearch / HBase is preferred.
• Good understanding of Kafka / Spark / Storm.
• Hands-on experience with building processes, CI processes, and managing QA environments.
• Experience working with build management tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
