Esri is hiring a DevOps Engineer I to design and implement build and deployment frameworks for ArcGIS Enterprise. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Docker, and Vagrant. This position is ideal for entry-level candidates looking to grow in a dynamic environment.
You are an entry-level engineer with a foundational understanding of DevOps principles and practices. You have experience or coursework in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment frameworks, and you are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have a basic understanding of containerization using Docker and orchestration tools like Vagrant. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for improving software delivery processes.
Experience with geospatial technologies or software development is a plus, as is familiarity with monitoring systems and test frameworks. You are a team player who enjoys working closely with others to bring new features and components into a product stack. You are open to feedback and are committed to continuous improvement in your work.
In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee process workflows for the ArcGIS Enterprise stack, which includes ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS DataStore. You will work on modernizing build systems and processes to fit into a microservices-based architecture. You will provide integration points for various installation and deployment technologies, ensuring that the software products are delivered efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate with app teams to support builds, manage third-party dependencies, and handle release-specific tasks. Additionally, you will participate in the development of continuous integration software build systems and design monitoring systems to ensure the reliability and performance of the software.
