Lyft is seeking a Staff Applied Scientist to lead the Rider Applied AI team in developing AI/ML solutions for personalized rider experiences. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize your expertise in machine learning and data science. This role requires strong applied machine learning intuition and hands-on modeling experience.
You have a strong background in applied machine learning with a focus on building scalable solutions — your experience includes leading teams and solving complex problems in content ranking and user journey optimization. You possess hands-on modeling experience and are proficient in writing clean, efficient production code. Your collaborative nature allows you to work closely with engineering, product, data science, and design teams to translate ambiguous business problems into rigorous algorithmic solutions. You are passionate about improving user experiences and driving meaningful revenue growth through innovative AI techniques.
Experience with large-scale data processing and familiarity with cloud platforms would be advantageous. A background in the rideshare or transportation industry is a plus, as is knowledge of hyper-personalization strategies in AI applications.
In this role, you will lead a high-impact group of scientists and analysts focused on architecting the intelligent layer of the Rider experience.
