Amazon seeks a Senior Risk Manager within Finance Operations Risk Governance & Experience (FORGE). FORGE provides risk, inspection and compliance services across Finance Operations with a mission to identify risks, protect assets, design to-be controls, and as appropriate assist process owners with risk mitigation or remediation all while balancing optimal business function, customer delight and controllership. This role will directly partner with Amazon Travel & Events.
Key job responsibilities
This role requires strong leadership skills to influence others and/or self-serve in order to achieve critical inspection objectives. You will be expected to identify risks in our processes and work with the appropriate owners to mitigate risks. You will need to dive deep to understand Amazon’s disparate and complex processes and related applications and work through ambiguity to deliver results.
A day in the life
In this role, you will lead and oversee projects, such as inspections, risk assessments, and advisory services, that shape process and control design to mitigate risk and drive a continuous controllership culture. Responsibilities will also include preparation of findings and engagement with stakeholders to complete action items. Your subject matter expertise is critical to develop strong working knowledge of processes, current initiatives, and organizational changes.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level- Master's degree or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
