Data Analyst (Power BI)

Who you are

You have 3–5 years of experience building data visualizations and analyzing business datasets — you've developed a strong command of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query, and understand data modeling practices such as star schema and relationships. Your proficiency in SQL allows you to write and optimize queries across multiple platforms, including SQL Server and Snowflake. You are familiar with Python-based ETL scripts and can interpret and troubleshoot them to ensure data quality and consistency. You have a solid understanding of implementing row-level security in Power BI and managing access through workspace governance. Your analytical mindset enables you to translate complex business questions into clear visual storytelling and actionable insights. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, and your experience with Azure is a significant asset.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build dynamic, insight-driven Power BI dashboards that provide stakeholders with actionable insights. You will utilize advanced DAX and custom KPIs to enhance the dashboards' functionality. Your responsibilities will include using Power Query for data transformation and cleansing, ensuring that the data models are prepared for scalable reporting. You will apply strong data modeling practices to create efficient reporting structures. Additionally, you will write and optimize SQL queries across various platforms, ensuring that data retrieval is efficient and effective. You will also interpret and troubleshoot Python-based ETL scripts, ensuring that the data remains accurate and consistent throughout the process. Your role will involve implementing row-level security and managing access to Power BI workspaces, ensuring that sensitive data is protected. You will perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and gaps in the data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
