AppDirect is seeking a Software Development Engineer to create and manage a distributed network of marketplaces and applications. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality products and mentoring junior team members. This role is based in Pune, India.
You are a highly technical, hands-on developer with a passion for producing maintainable and robust code. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to take initiative on projects that positively impact your team. You have a strong desire to mentor junior team members and help them grow in their coding skills. You value effective communication and are comfortable working with cross-functional partners to deliver complete, high-quality products on time. You understand the importance of anticipating problems and proactively collaborating with others to resolve them. In this role, you will lead simple projects independently and begin contributing to medium-complexity projects. You will take initiative and execute ideas that positively impact the team, occasionally leading small initiatives. You will communicate effectively within your team and across projects, ensuring that everyone is aligned on goals and expectations. You will deliver complete, high-quality products on time while identifying gaps in requirements or implementation plans. You will proactively anticipate problems, recognize barriers, and collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to resolve them. You will value robust, sensible design and clean, maintainable code, advising others on boundary and negative test cases. You will also mentor junior team members on writing testable code and consistently write high-quality code yourself.
