DoorDash is seeking a Regional Merchant Lead to drive partnerships with local merchants in new verticals such as grocery and retail. You'll be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and a focus on local commerce.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in outside sales roles, where you've successfully managed the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Your ability to build strong relationships with local merchants is key to your success, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where creativity and strategic thinking are essential. You understand the importance of onboarding high-quality partners to enhance marketplace offerings and drive customer acquisition. You are comfortable negotiating revenue share agreements and presenting multi-product solutions to potential partners. Your experience in the local commerce space, particularly with non-restaurant categories, gives you a unique perspective on how to approach new verticals effectively.
As a Regional Merchant Lead, you will be stationed in one of the specified cities and will actively engage with local businesses to introduce them to DoorDash's offerings. Your role will involve prospecting new non-restaurant partners, pitching DoorDash's value proposition, and negotiating deals that benefit both parties. You will work closely with the New Verticals team to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in categories such as grocery, convenience, and retail. Building and maintaining relationships with local merchants will be central to your responsibilities, as you help them understand how partnering with DoorDash can enhance their business. You will also be responsible for tracking your sales performance and reporting on key metrics to ensure that you meet and exceed your targets.
