Amazon is hiring a Senior FinOps Analyst for their UK Payroll team to manage payroll processes across multiple countries. You'll leverage your expertise in payroll systems and employee tax processes. This role requires 3+ years of relevant experience in finance operations.

Job Description

Who you are

You have at least 3 years of experience in finance operations or shared services, specifically in payroll processing for multiple countries. Your expertise in UK and European payroll systems is complemented by a strong understanding of employee tax and benefits processes. You possess advanced Excel skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, enabling you to manage complex payroll tasks efficiently. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time, every time. You thrive in a customer-oriented corporate environment and are comfortable handling payroll queries from employees and HR business partners. Your auditing skills are a plus, allowing you to maintain compliance and accuracy in payroll operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll for Amazon employees, ensuring that salaries, employee and employer taxes, and other statutory deductions are handled accurately. You will manage off-cycle pay runs and payments, responding promptly to queries from employees and supporting teams. Your role will involve producing timely reports and reconciliations, as well as assisting with tax filings and annual employee earning records. You will work closely with vendors to process stop payments and reversals, and you will back up other payroll analysts as needed. You will also view and manage human resource data on the people portal, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate. Your contributions will help maintain a smooth payroll operation across various time zones, supporting Amazon's commitment to pay employees accurately and on time.
