Xometry is seeking a Senior Category Manager to develop and manage category strategy for their Additive business. You'll be responsible for supplier management and performance analysis. This role requires strong negotiation and project management skills.
You have a proven track record in category management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise lies in developing and executing category strategies that align with business goals, and you excel at negotiating with suppliers to optimize performance and cost. You are a strong cross-functional project manager, capable of collaborating with various teams to drive results.
You possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to assess supplier and category performance effectively. You are comfortable working with C-suite members and can articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Your ability to identify sales, merchandising, and operational opportunities sets you apart, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact.
Experience in the manufacturing or additive industry is a plus, as is familiarity with digital marketplaces. You are adept at using data to inform your decisions and can adapt your strategies based on market trends and supplier capabilities.
In this role, you will develop and manage the category strategy for Xometry's Additive business, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. You will oversee a portfolio of suppliers, driving their development by setting strategic goals and negotiating business terms. Your responsibilities will include analyzing supplier and category performance to determine tactical next steps and strategic vision.
You will negotiate frequently with existing suppliers to optimize performance and cost, including everyday pricing, annual incentive programs, and advertising promotions. As a senior escalation point, you will handle complex negotiations with external partners, often involving C-suite members. Your role will also require you to identify opportunities for sales, merchandising, and operational improvements within the category, collaborating with various teams to implement these initiatives.
