Google is seeking a Manager of Network Equipment Capex to lead financial planning and analysis for networking equipment procurement. You'll leverage your expertise in finance and supply chain to drive strategic decisions. This role requires 10 years of experience in FP&A or a related field.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 10 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, you bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Your advanced degree is a plus, but your practical experience is what truly sets you apart. You possess a strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes, particularly for networking equipment such as routers, switches, and optical equipment. Your expertise in statistical forecasting methodologies, including linear regression, probabilistic models, and decision trees, allows you to make data-driven decisions that influence business outcomes. You excel at influencing without authority and have the confidence to interact with all levels of the organization, setting objectives and driving results as a team player. Your ownership mindset enables you to advocate for and challenge business initiatives effectively, ensuring that financial decisions align with strategic goals.

What you'll do

As the Manager of Network Equipment Capex at Google, you will lead financial analysis efforts that ensure sound financial decisions are made regarding networking equipment procurement. Your role will involve modeling business scenarios and tracking performance metrics, providing senior management with insightful recommendations and planning support. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on the details while also addressing big-picture challenges. Your leadership will be crucial in transforming planning, tracking, and control processes within the core Finance team. You will develop and evolve governance norms to ensure procurement aligns with planned deployments, minimizing excess and obsolescence (E&O). Additionally, you will lead cross-functional projects aimed at identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and report on progress to help the business team achieve target efficiency and cost savings.
