Amazon is hiring a Data Center Technician to maintain and support cutting-edge data center infrastructure in London. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and handle hardware troubleshooting. This role requires hands-on hardware experience.
You have hands-on hardware experience and are eager to work in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in a team setting and are comfortable being the first line of contact for technical issues. Your ability to troubleshoot hardware problems will be essential in maintaining the data center's operational efficiency. You understand the importance of adhering to security and safety best practices in a data center environment. You are proactive in identifying process improvements and documenting procedures for global use. You are ready to engage with various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations and communication.
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. You will work against assigned trouble tickets, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Your role will involve performing regular server hardware repairs, including drives and motherboards, as well as routine network and operating system-related repairs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete routine work and engage with Smart Hands in EU Regional Points of Presence (POPs). You will participate in data center power and cooling events, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the data center. Additionally, you will take part in team meetings focused on metric analysis and achieving daily and weekly goals. Your contributions will help create a more efficient and effective data center environment.
