Job Description

Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operations excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions, with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving long-term profitability for our portfolio of businesses. Our teams experiment, fail fast, learn, and scale rapidly, while maintaining a data-driven decision-making culture.

The North America (NA) Grocery Fulfillment Finance team seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to partner with Operations leadership and Regional Directors across the NA FC network to accelerate speed to insight, influence step-function changes in productivity performance, and assess trade-off decisions to optimize variable labor unit cost.

The role will focus on one of the three pillars of Financial Planning, Field Execution and Financial Analysis. A successful candidate will influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. They collaborate with executives and various business units across Amazon. They bring excellent verbal and written communication skills. They prioritize the most impactful projects and programs that will drive Amazon Grocery forward.

A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to partner directly with regional leads and operations leaders to innovate by building creative solutions operational efficiency, identifying the high-priority work and projects that maximize results for key stakeholders, and solving complex problems that effect company-wide strategic decisions.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead and optimize Field Execution operations through comprehensive regional analysis, on-site evaluations, and actionable insights that drive performance improvements

• Spearhead the development and management of Weekly Rolling Forecasts, including:

- Designing and implementing scalable reporting frameworks
- Creating efficient bridges for variable labor unit cost analysis
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of weekly forecasting deliverables
• Translate weekly data into clear, actionable insights for senior management

• Collaborate strategically with regional directors to:

- Optimize variable labor efficiency
- Enhance under-the-roof (UTF) performance metrics
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions for operational challenges
- Provide evidence-based recommendations
- Clear communication of insights to key stakeholders

• Conduct regular site visits to:

- Gather first-hand operational insights
- Develop and present strategic solutions
- Build strong relationships with regional teams and leadership
- Support continuous improvement initiatives

This role requires exceptional analytical capabilities, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence without direct authority. The successful candidate must demonstrate resilience and adaptability while maintaining Amazon's highest standards for accuracy and attention to detail.- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
