Join our innovative team developing Generative AI tools that are revolutionizing how Amazon store builders transition to our next generation rendering architecture. As a key contributor to this emerging space, you'll leverage your problem-solving abilities and technical expertise to build tools that simplify and enhance the way Amazon's store builders work. This role requires someone who can navigate uncertainty with confidence, think strategically about opportunities, and deliver impactful solutions in a rapidly evolving field.





Key job responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Generative AI tools that help Amazon store builders transition to our next generation rendering architecture, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code that balances customer requirements with technical constraints
- Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle including scoping, designing, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of your team's software solutions
- Identify opportunities to simplify complex problems, providing clarity and developing elegant solutions that address real-world challenges in the Gen AI tooling space
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and customer value, ensuring your technical solutions align with broader organizational goals
- Demonstrate operational excellence by identifying root causes of issues, implementing permanent solutions, and continuously improving team processes and software quality

A day in the life
Your typical day revolves around structured yet creative development work within a rapidly evolving Gen AI space. You'll collaborate with a passionate team that has established organization amid innovation. You'll write code, review designs, participate in technical discussions, and iterate on features for AI-powered tools. You'll balance focused development time with collaborative problem-solving sessions, all while building solutions that help transform how Amazon's store builders work.



About the team
You'll join a nimble, focused "two-pizza" team with zero operational burden, allowing you to concentrate entirely on innovation and building. The team thrives on passionate discussions and debates about direction and execution strategies. We enjoy strong top-down support that empowers us to iterate quickly on solutions. Our collaborative environment encourages open dialogue and fresh perspectives, with each team member playing a crucial role in shaping our approach to Generative AI tooling. We're building something new together, with the freedom to explore creative solutions to complex challenges.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
