SpaceX is hiring a Supplier Development Engineer for the Starlink project to ensure continuity of supply for printed circuit boards (PCBs). You'll collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, utilizing skills in Altium Designer and Embedded Linux.
You have a strong background in supply chain management and engineering, with experience specifically in printed circuit boards (PCBs). You understand the complexities of supplier development and have a proven track record of ensuring continuity of supply in high-tech environments. Your technical expertise includes proficiency in Altium Designer and Embedded Linux, which allows you to effectively communicate with both suppliers and internal teams. You are a problem solver who thrives in cross-functional settings, and you are passionate about contributing to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.
Experience in the aerospace or satellite industry is a plus, as is familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency. A background in electrical engineering or a related field will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.
As a Supplier Development Engineer for Starlink, you will own the continuity of supply for PCBs, working closely with suppliers to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies. You will coordinate with internal engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure that production goals are met and that the quality of components meets SpaceX's high standards. Your role will involve evaluating supplier performance, conducting audits, and collaborating on design improvements to enhance manufacturability.
