Amazon is hiring a Finance Manager for their AWS Hardware Engineering Finance team. You'll partner with Hardware Engineers to develop cost-effective server solutions and provide data-driven financial analysis. This role requires 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
You have over 5 years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, demonstrating a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams. You excel in building robust business partnerships, providing data-driven insights that support high-visibility projects. Your experience allows you to develop ad-hoc business cases and present recommendations to senior management, showcasing your ability to influence decisions through financial analysis.
You are skilled in evaluating technology trade-offs, particularly in terms of cost and performance, ensuring that customer requirements are met efficiently. You are not required to be a hardware expert, but your analytical skills and solution-oriented mindset will help you thrive in this role. You are adept at building and improving financial tools and processes, ensuring accuracy in hardware costing and optimizing technology development choices.
In this role, you will partner closely with Hardware Engineers to develop the next generation of servers that enhance performance while lowering costs for customers. You will utilize tools such as Total Cost of Ownership and Net Present Value to support decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include driving improvements in the end-to-end costing process and leading the financial planning and analysis efforts for your business partners. You will forecast various metrics related to financial risks and opportunities, ensuring that the business remains agile and informed.
You will be responsible for building systems that streamline the delivery of financial information, ensuring controllership and scalability within the business. Your role will involve optimizing technology development and deployment choices, ensuring that financial insights are integrated into the decision-making process. You will also be tasked with evaluating technology trade-offs and providing recommendations that align with customer requirements and business objectives.
