Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 7 years of experience designing, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions. Your background includes expertise in network security, data security, and regulatory compliance frameworks. You have experience managing internal or external customer-facing projects to completion while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You are skilled in Cloud Security, particularly in customer-facing roles, and have a deep understanding of security architecture or security engineering. You are familiar with implementing FedRAMP, PCI, or HIPAA security requirements in a cloud environment. You understand various attacks and mitigation methods across network protocols, web application security, security assessments, penetration testing, authentication, access control, applied cryptography, security monitoring, intrusion detection, incident response, forensics, and the development of security tools, automation, or frameworks. Your communication, written, presentation, and problem-solving skills are excellent, enabling you to manage disparate stakeholders effectively.

What you'll do

As a Technical Lead in Cloud Security at Google, you will guide customers through critical moments in their cloud journey, helping them transform and evolve their businesses using Google’s global network and software infrastructure. You will deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations tailored to various business and technical stakeholders. You will manage diverse stakeholders within customer environments to achieve consensus and drive positive outcomes on the Google Cloud platform. Your role will involve traveling approximately 30% of the time for client engagements, ensuring that you are hands-on in delivering solutions that meet customer needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into cloud solutions, and you will be responsible for mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise in cloud security practices.
