Amazon is seeking a Senior Manager for Global Corporate Employee Relations to lead initiatives across the APJC region. This role focuses on fostering positive employee experiences and managing employee relations risks. Strong leadership and strategic planning skills are essential.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in employee relations, ideally within a multinational environment, and a proven track record of developing and executing strategies that enhance workplace culture. Your leadership style emphasizes collaboration and mentorship, enabling you to effectively manage and develop a team of Employee Relations Managers across diverse markets. You understand the complexities of employee relations in the Asia Pacific, Japan, and China regions, and you are adept at navigating cultural nuances to foster positive relationships with stakeholders.

You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to assess employee relations risks and implement proactive strategies to mitigate them. Your ability to partner with business leaders, legal teams, and regional People eXperience and Technology teams demonstrates your commitment to building constructive relationships and addressing potential concerns before they escalate. You are passionate about Amazon's mission to become "Earth's Best Employer" and are dedicated to creating a positive employee experience across the APJC region.

Desirable

Experience in managing employee relations in a corporate setting, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, is highly desirable. Familiarity with labor laws and regulations in countries such as Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam will be advantageous. You are also skilled in developing training and coaching programs that enhance the capabilities of your team and the wider organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Global Corporate Employee Relations team across the APJC region, driving strategic initiatives that align with Amazon's mission. You will develop and execute comprehensive employee relations strategies that foster positive workplace environments, focusing on key markets such as Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Your leadership will be crucial in managing assessments and proactive employee relations strategies, ensuring that potential concerns are addressed constructively.

You will partner with business leaders and legal teams to build strong relationships and create effective Response Plans for all APJC countries. Your oversight of the Employee Representative Body program operations will be essential in promoting employee engagement and representation across the region. You will also manage and develop a team of regional Employee Relations Managers, providing strategic guidance and mentorship on complex employee relations cases.

Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you work closely with the GCER leadership to enhance the capabilities of the local PXT and wider GCER team through training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Your strategic leadership will help ensure that Amazon continues to prioritize employee relations and foster a positive workplace culture across the APJC region.
