MongoDB is seeking a Senior Account Executive, Acquisition to drive growth by identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires over 10 years of sales experience and familiarity with enterprise software solutions.
You have over 10 years of experience in inside, channel, or direct sales, with a proven track record of acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts. You excel in identifying and validating sales opportunities, particularly with CTOs, engineering leaders, and IT decision-makers. Your ability to effectively communicate the business value of complex enterprise software is a key strength, allowing you to build long-term partnerships with business champions. You are achievement-oriented and have a strong passion for success, consistently exceeding sales targets and earning accolades such as President’s Club or Rep of the Year. Your proficiency in English is excellent, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
You have a passion for developing your career in the largest software market, particularly in databases. Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger Sale is a plus, as is familiarity with database technologies, software development, and open-source technologies.
In this role, you will actively generate sales pipeline, validate opportunities, and close deals, primarily focusing on acquiring new customers while also growing existing accounts. You will create sales opportunities through outbound activities such as cold calling and email campaigns, targeting key decision-makers in the enterprise space. Developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets will be a core responsibility. You will collaborate closely with solution architects, customer success, and professional services teams to ensure customer success and satisfaction. Participation in structured sales boot camps, advanced sales training, and leadership development programs will be part of your professional growth.
