Job Description

Job Summary: The Assurance Manager is a critical role within our Customer Trust Payment Risk team, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing sophisticated risk management strategies to safeguard our payment ecosystem. This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of financial risk, regulatory compliance, and advanced data analytics to protect both the company and its customers from fraudulent activities and financial losses.

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Risk Management:
o Continuously evaluate and enhance risk models using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management strategies into product development and business operations.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
o Stay abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes and proactively adapt risk management strategies to meet new requirements.
3. Data Analytics and Reporting:
o Leverage big data technologies to analyze vast amounts of transaction data, identifying patterns and anomalies indicative of potential risks.
o Develop and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights on risk metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
o Utilize predictive modeling and scenario analysis to forecast potential risk exposures and their financial impacts.
5. Stakeholder Management:
o Communicate complex risk concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership and board members.
o Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including payment processors, banks, and technology vendors.
6. Innovation and Technology:
o Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in risk management, such as AI-driven fraud detection and blockchain-based identity verification.
o Spearhead pilot projects to test and implement innovative risk management solutions.

Their day revolves around systematically executing review phases: scoping, planning, evidence gathering, analysis, and reporting. They excel at breaking down complex processes, applying consistent testing methods while remaining flexible to unique circumstances. Engaging key stakeholders, they gather insights and validate findings. Their approach prioritizes quality, ensuring work meets professional standards and delivers meaningful insights. By methodically organizing and synthesizing information, they develop clear, well-supported conclusions. This systematic approach allows them to handle diverse reviews efficiently, maintaining consistent quality and reliability across various subjects and organizational contexts.

We're dedicated to streamlining processes, optimizing controls, and scaling innovative solutions across the organization. We blend deep expertise with fresh perspectives, constantly challenging conventional approaches to create scalable, innovative assurance solutions. - 5+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
