Software Engineer (kdb+/q)

Who you are

You have experience as a kdb+ Developer, with a strong focus on enhancing reference data infrastructure. Your background allows you to effectively research, coordinate, and resolve production support issues by interacting closely with product owners, clients, and other stakeholders. You understand the importance of optimizing existing reference data systems for improved performance, scalability, and reliability.

You are skilled in implementing robust data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes. Your expertise extends to developing and maintaining interfaces with external data vendors, market data feeds, and internal systems. You have a knack for analyzing and tuning kdb+ queries and processes for optimal performance, ensuring that data systems run efficiently and effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the reference data infrastructure, which is critical to the operations of Virtu Financial. You will work closely with the main development team to improve trading and analytics platforms. Your day-to-day tasks will include redesigning and optimizing existing systems, ensuring they meet the demands of a fast-paced financial environment.

You will also be tasked with implementing data validation processes that ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data being processed.
