Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented US Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll Operations group. The ideal candidate will process payroll on weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cycles across multiple states, while performing various technical tasks including data compilation and analysis. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations. The successful candidate will provide essential support to management and employees on payroll-related matters and thrive in our fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
• Process payroll using vendor software and maintain data accuracy
• Audit payroll data and review employee timesheets
• Handle manual checks, stop payments, reversals, and paycheck card entries
• Process and validate employee payroll information
• Manage check distribution and respond to employee inquiries
• Perform deep dive analysis to identify process improvement opportunities
• Implement KAIZEN and LEAN methodologies to enhance systems and procedures
• Support payroll team and cross-train in various functions
• Perform ad hoc payroll projects and activities as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
• 1+ years of payroll or related experience
• Open to fresh graduates with Latin honors
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Must be willing to work onsite 5 days per week• Fresh graduate with Latin honors
• 6+ months US Payroll experience
• Project Management experience
• Multi-region payroll experience
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus
