Box is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to enhance the security of their content management platform. You'll collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. This role requires expertise in security engineering and a strong understanding of cloud environments.
You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in complex systems. Your background includes working with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and you possess a solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements. You are proficient in Python and Linux, enabling you to automate security processes and analyze security incidents effectively. You have experience with incident response and are skilled in conducting vulnerability assessments and threat modeling. Your knowledge of network security and penetration testing allows you to evaluate the security posture of applications and infrastructure. You are a proactive communicator who collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure security is integrated into the development lifecycle.
Experience with security frameworks and standards such as OWASP and NIST is a plus. Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including SIEM solutions and vulnerability management platforms, will enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are passionate about staying updated on the latest security threats and trends, and you enjoy sharing your knowledge with your team to foster a culture of security awareness.
