The AWS Shanghai AI Lab is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive applied scientist intern to conduct cutting-edge research and development in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI technologies.
The Agentic AI division at AWS drives innovation in artificial intelligence, enabling customers to transform their businesses through cutting-edge AI solutions. Our team consists of AI/ML practitioners, applied scientists, software engineers, and solution architects who work together to build and deliver foundational AI services that power the future of cloud computing.
Key job responsibilities
As part of the AWS Shanghai AI Lab (Founded in 2018), you will work on innovative research projects in LLMs, generative AI, and agentic systems. You will collaborate with world-class scientists and engineers globally, including colleagues from other Amazon departments and leading academic institutions. You will have the opportunity to design and develop state-of-the-art solutions for real-world AI challenges, while working in a vibrant team with diverse expertise.
#auta-gcr- Master or PhD students in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics
- Strong background in machine learning or relevant analytical studies
- Deep understanding of deep learning fundamentals with hands-on experience in LLMs, generative AI, or agentic AI systems; experience in tasks such as model training, fine-tuning, and deployment is highly valued
- Excellent algorithms and programming skills, proficient in Python
- Can guarantee at least 4 months internship and 4 days a week- Critical and scientific thinking with the ability to invent and dive deep
- Strong publication record in top ML/AI conferences as first author or major contributor, particularly in LLM/Agentic AI research or applications
- Experience in engineering scalable, efficient, and highly optimized AI/ML projects.
