What you'll do

As a Lead Avionics Engineer at Hermeus, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems for our hypersonic vehicles. You will lead a team of engineers, guiding them through the development process and ensuring that all systems are designed to meet the highest standards of safety and performance. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the integration of avionics systems into the aircraft, conducting thorough testing and validation, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless operation.

You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the avionics systems, from initial design through to testing and deployment. This includes developing specifications, conducting risk assessments, and implementing solutions to any challenges that arise during the development process. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support as they grow in their roles.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to ensure that all aspects of the aircraft are integrated effectively. You will participate in design reviews, contribute to project planning, and help define the technical direction of the avionics systems.
