Overview

Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator for EMEA Data Center Acquisition and Development to manage real estate agreements and support infrastructure development. You'll leverage your expertise in financial modeling and negotiation to drive project success in Frankfurt and Munich.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Infrastructure, Real Estate, or related fields, along with at least 4 years of experience managing projects or supporting the planning and development of agreements. Your fluency in both German and English enables you to effectively communicate and build client relationships in the region. You possess experience negotiating or supporting the negotiation of bilateral real estate agreements of varying sizes and timelines, showcasing your ability to navigate complex discussions. Your background includes real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, and site selection for industrial projects, which equips you with the necessary skills to excel in this role.

You are knowledgeable in indirect taxes, economic development policy, financial modeling, infrastructure development, agreement drafting and redlining, and presentation development. Your understanding of power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, and data center technology, along with industrial electrical and cooling technology, positions you as a valuable asset to the team. You are willing to travel up to 50% of the time as needed, demonstrating your commitment to supporting Google's growth initiatives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work closely with the Strategic Negotiation team to secure infrastructure for Google's future. Your deep market knowledge combined with tech industry savvy will help you find solutions that support Google's growth. You will oversee vendor and partner relationships, ensuring that all agreements align with Google's strategic objectives. Your successful management skills will have the potential to impact every part of the business, ultimately saving Google millions of dollars.

You will monitor progress against objectives, providing regular status reports and advocating for financial metrics to support both site and infrastructure-related portfolio decisions. Your ability to foster an open workplace will enhance day-to-day interactions and conversations among colleagues, contributing to a collaborative team environment. You will also be responsible for mapping, tracking, and advocating for a broad range of portfolio management issues regarding site and infrastructure development, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
