Amazon Air Finance is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Financial Analyst for the FP&A team. This role partners closely with a broad range of leaders across Amazon Air, providing important financial analysis and controllership to drive decisions. The role focuses on continuous improvement across internal and external stakeholders to define, design and maintain performance measurements, reporting and reviews. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to lead root-cause analysis and uncover core issues to drive cost reductions with stakeholders, manage, evaluate and create meaningful business reporting, and build and maintain complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive the core financial processes for the organization including Annual Operating Plans, 3-Year Strategic Plan, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Partner with senior business leaders and develop operational metrics and goal setting to help the team improve performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
- Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs, and make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CFA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
