Overview

Clever is seeking a Senior Account Executive to sell their education solutions to school districts and build strong relationships with district administrators. This role requires a focus on new business and an understanding of cybersecurity needs in education.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the education sector, with a strong ability to build relationships with senior-level stakeholders. Your experience includes identifying and addressing the unique cybersecurity needs of school districts, ensuring that you can effectively communicate the value of Clever's solutions. You are enthusiastic about driving new business and have a strategic mindset for territory planning and pipeline management. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to engage effectively with district administrators and state education departments. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with account teams to enhance the customer experience from initial contact to advocacy. You are adaptable and can navigate the complexities of the education landscape, ensuring that you meet the diverse needs of your clients.

Desirable

Experience in the education technology space is a plus, as is familiarity with cybersecurity challenges faced by educational institutions. A background in strategic sales or business development will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable with outbound sales activities and have a knack for developing effective sales strategies that resonate with your target audience.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for selling Clever's innovative solutions to medium and large school districts, focusing on their cybersecurity and technology challenges. You will proactively develop a territory plan that aligns with Clever's business objectives and manage your pipeline activities to achieve new business targets. Your day-to-day activities will include planning and executing strategic sales calls, conducting deep discovery sessions, and establishing clear next steps to move prospects through the sales funnel. Building and nurturing senior-level relationships with existing and prospective school districts will be a key aspect of your role, as will collaborating with Clever's account teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will invest consistently in outbound activities to build your network and identify new opportunities, leveraging your expertise to address the specific needs of each district. Your success will be measured by your ability to meet and exceed sales targets while contributing to Clever's mission of connecting students to a world of learning.
