Overview

DoorDash is seeking a Strategic Merchant Lead to drive new business acquisition and deepen restaurant partnerships. This role requires strong sales skills and the ability to manage an end-to-end sales cycle in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in building and maintaining relationships with key partners. Your experience includes managing a full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, and you thrive in a field sales environment. You understand the importance of strategic partnerships and have a knack for identifying opportunities that drive growth. You are comfortable working both in-field and virtually, adapting your approach to meet the needs of different stakeholders. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively pitch and negotiate with potential restaurant partners. You are results-driven and have a passion for enhancing marketplace performance through strong merchant relationships.

What you'll do

As a Strategic Merchant Lead at DoorDash, you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding our restaurant selection in key markets. You will engage with iconic and desirable restaurants, building deep relationships that influence customer growth and selection strength. Your role will involve prospecting potential partners, pitching DoorDash's value proposition, negotiating terms, and closing deals. You will collaborate cross-functionally to address complex merchant needs and structure competitive economic terms. This position requires you to spend approximately 40% of your time in the field, meeting with restaurant owners and decision-makers to foster partnerships that enhance the DoorDash platform. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the dining landscape of your territories, ensuring that DoorDash remains competitive and appealing to customers.
