Datadog is seeking a Senior Strategic Account Executive to target and close enterprise accounts across India. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 5+ years of closing experience in enterprise sales.
You have over 5 years of experience in closing sales, particularly in enterprise environments, which are defined as companies with more than 5000 employees. Your background includes a mix of field selling and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. You possess a strong understanding of the challenges organizations face when operating in or migrating to cloud environments, and you are adept at uncovering these pain points to deliver effective solutions. You are driven and resourceful, with an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation. Your ability to maintain and build relationships is key, as you will be managing both customer expectations and prospecting new opportunities.
Experience in selling cloud solutions or services would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with the enterprise landscape in India, particularly with Fortune India 500 companies, will help you navigate the complexities of large organizations. You are comfortable negotiating favorable pricing and business terms, and you have a strong focus on delivering value and ROI to your clients. Your forecasting accuracy is impressive, consistently achieving a minimum of 90% accuracy in your sales projections.
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune India 500 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Developing a deep comprehension of your customer's business will be crucial, as you will need to identify robust business drivers behind all opportunities. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, ensuring that you sell value and ROI effectively. Managing both customer and prospect expectations will be part of your daily responsibilities, as you expand your reach and depth into your assigned territory. You will demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions, ensuring that you are always prepared to tackle any obstacles that arise. Your role will also involve ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency, which is essential for the success of your sales efforts.
